This three years BSc course in embryology and assisted reproductive technology provide a strong and wide ranging pedagogy in human embryology, andrology and assisted Reproductive Technology. The importance of this course is covering theory and practical aspects. Student will develop high level laboratory skill which includes handling of gametes and embryos in the lab. On completion of the course candidate will be well versed with all the procedures and skill to become an embryologist, andrologist , counselor , research scholar or QA QC in charge.


Eligibility for B.Sc Embryology & Assisted Reproductive Technology:

10+2 [Higher Secondary] with Biology as Major Subject

At the end of this three years course, a student shall be able to Ÿ Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge and understanding of gross and microscopic structure of the human cell and its organelles. Learn about anatomy and physiology of the male and female reproductive system. Understand basic concept of embryology. Demonstrate knowledge of basic and systemic embryology including man genetics, genetic inheritance, gene regulation and immunology. Develop a basic understanding of biochemistry, endocrinology, and pharmacology. Independently handle semen and its processing for both techniques Intrauterine Insemination (IUI) and In-vitro fertilization (IVF). Student can identify and handle human oocyte in embryology laboratory. Competently handle human gametes for IVF and ICSI. Can independently assess embryo quality. Learn about cryopreservation of gametes and embryos. And have knowledge of IVF lab and its maintenance.
